Maintenance of Certification - Part IV

In accordance with the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) requirements, ASAMS is developing and fielding a Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part IV process for Aerospace Medicine specialists. The opportunity to enter the Beta test phase of development is now closed. The scoring of Beta test participants is slated for completion by September 1, 2011.

The process for MOC Part IV credit now is as follows. Any downloading of the ASAMS application after March 1, 2011 will not be considered for the Beta test and will be subject to the fee structure developed by ASAMS ($295 for members and $395 for non-members).

If you wish to apply for ASAMS MOC Part IV credit, follow the instructions below. You will need to contact and submit the completed project documentation to Dr. Susan Northrup.

Instructions for requesting participation in the Beta test are as follows:
1. Download the Microsoft Word file here.
2. Send an email to Dr. Northrup letting her know that you have the file and intend to submit an application.
3. Complete the entire application and prepare supporting documentation as required.
4. Send an electronic (DVD, CD) version of your application or a paper version of your application to Dr Northrup. Please contact Dr. Northrup for the mailing address. Include a check for $295 made out to "The American Society of Aerospace Medicine Specialists" to your application package. Please include full contact information with the application.

Again, ASAMS MOC Part IV Beta test application process is now closed. All applicants for ASAMS MOC Part IV consideration should follow the listed procedures. Any changes to the process or funding will be posted on this site. Thank you.
